As I write this, I’m on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia.
Everything was going great until I got the flu.
So here I am, sitting in our hotel room feeling sorry for myself (working of all things!).
But enough about me, here’s my latest content for you…

AUSSIE FIRE PODCAST
Time for another FI Case Study!
This time round, we take a look at a situation from a Melbourne couple in their late 20s.
They’ve been saving a good amount, but are now weighing up whether to focus on investing, buying a modest home, or buying their dream home, (since they plan to have kids in the future and are worried about being priced out of the market).
We discuss multiple different ways they could approach it and share our thoughts on what we’d do in the same scenario.
Listen now on Spotify or Apple.

THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK
The biggest risk of all is not taking enough risk. More wealth is foregone by failing to invest than by investing and making mistakes. More personal satisfaction is foregone by following the herd than by following your own path.
True wealth isn’t about luxury, it’s about freedom. Without freedom, even the most opulent lifestyle just makes you a fancy slave.
Next time you hear an opinion, consider the person it’s coming from. Ask yourself: If I adopt the thinking of this person, is my life likely to be better or worse? Has their mindset actually helped them in life? If not, carefully consider whether their philosophy is a useful one to have.
